The moderator is the chief lay person of the church. They attend most every meeting of every board and committee and is the place where all the ministries of the church touch and communicate.
The Clerk keeps a fair and accurate record of all doings of the Church.
Has charge of all receipts, including income from invested funds, and shall disburse them at the direction of the Board of Stewards, of which they are a voting member, the Senior Minister, or the appropriate committees of the Church.
Board of Deacons
The Deacons are responsible for the worship, education, and pastoral care of the congregation. Deacons meetings are typically the first Tuesday of each month.
Board of Stewards
The Board of Stewards exercises leadership for the fiscal and institutional vitality of the church. Stewards meet the second Tuesday of every month.
The Outreach Committee is responsible for helping the congregation put our faith to work in the world, seeking to further God's purposes of peace, justice and compassion. Their job is to educate and inspire the congregation and provide opportunities for the congregation to get involved with our community partners locally and around the world in areas including the environment, homelessness, LGBT equality, the alleviation of poverty, and more.
Committee for Faith Formation
The Committee for Children & Youth is responsible for making sure children and youth have a central place in the life of the church. They oversee the church school and child care programs and other special events for families with younger children.
The Newlights Committee greases the wheels that make the United Church community go--with food! They oversee weekly coffee hours and occasional brunches, potlucks, and picnics, encouraging members of the congregation to provide us with tasty goodies for all to share.
