Support our missions & programs

At United, we believe in giving not because we must, but because we may. Giving to the work of the church supports many ministries of justice, beauty, and compassion, including twelve-step groups, worship services, soup kitchen meals, concerts and performances, programs for young people, and many partnerships to promote human flourishing in New Haven and beyond. Thank you for your generosity!

Abraham's Tent 2021

Abraham’s Tent is taking a break this year, due to the COVID19 pandemic, but Columbus House is still providing food, shelter, and warm hospitality to those experiencing homelessness.  Although Columbus House provides many necessary services, such as case management, referrals to mental health and substance abuse treatment programs, employment training programs, education, health services, and links to housing, their greatest need during the pandemic is for funds for food. During the month of January 2021, United Church on the Green and Congregation B’nai Jacob in Woodbridge are partnering to collect funds for Columbus House, in lieu of our usual collaboration to host the men of Abraham’s Tent. Please open your hearts and give generously so that Columbus House can feed those who are homeless, especially during the cold winter months.
